PETROPHYSICS Pty Limited provides petrophysical consulting and training to the oil-and gas industry. Mark Deakin, the founder of PETROPHYSICS Pty Ltd, received his Ph.D. from London's Imperial College to integrate petrophysical log, log and well testing data from North Sea Brae conglomerates. Deakin was a Petrophysics consultant at Amoco Production Company during his PhD. He has worked as a technical advisor, trainer and consultant for many multinationals around the world since then. Deakin has developed IPRC over the past 29 years, which is the standard mainstream petrophysics course that all petrophysicists and geologists should take. He also created specialized petrophysics courses that covered all major areas of petrophysical endeavour, including freshwater shaly, low contrast pay carbonates, fractures and unconventionals.
