Founder Mark Deakin obtained his Ph.D from London’s Imperial College for the integration of petrophysical core, log and well test data from North Sea Brae conglomerates. During his PhD Deakin joined Amoco Production Company as Petrophysicist and has since worked with numerous multinationals globally as a consultant petrophysicist, technical advisor and trainer. Over the last 29 years Deakin developed IPRC, the benchmark mainstream petrophysics course for all aspiring petrophysicists, geologists and engineers. He has also developed more focused petrophysics courses covering all major areas of petrophysical endeavour including freshwater shaly sands, low contrast pay, carbonates, fractures, unconventionals, how to use special core analysis with modern logs and the intelligent use of a huge, generic core-log database.
